Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire’s Acorn Children Care Home Group have signed their Branston 4-6 Bed Children’s Home up to ClearCare’s social care settings software for looked after children and young people.
Branston House provides a safe and secure therapeutic living experience for up to four children of either gender aged from 11 to 17 years old on admission. Children placed with Acorn learn constructive and adaptive methods of dealing with negative experiences and emotions whilst gaining the understanding behind the behaviours they may present.
They are registered with OFSTED as a children’s residential home that may provide care and accommodation for children and young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties (EBD).
They offer permanent placements that provide a period of stability and support to looked after children and young people, assisting them to move into independent living, move back home or into a foster placement.
Each individual placement is carefully assessed during the referral procedures, to ensure that the needs and outcomes of the individual cared for child or young person can be successfully met. Special consideration is also given to the children currently being cared for at Branston House to ensure that their care is not compromised and that the needs of all young people currently placed can be met.
